This report should serve as a call to civil society throughout the continent to add their voices to hold our institutions, nationally or continentally, accountable, and ensure that they are marching decisively towards an Africa that all Africans can safely call home.

We are yet to learn that whatever you are going through is okay, that you don’t have to run from it, that it is not permanent, and that if you learn how to be with whatever is happening you will learn healthy coping mechanisms instead of escaping your emotions.

LGBTI people existed freely in Africa before colonialism brought discrimination to the continent.
